Click here to read "My Life As A Nazgūl," or "How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Evil," my unbelievably tedious, self-aggrandizing, egomaniacal, and just plain boring, blow-by-blow, step-by-step account of this game. Complete with links that illustrate the descriptions.
And lest I forget to mention it, thanks a million to Stacey Lee, Chuck Conrad, Elissa Dyste, Heather Roth, and Doug Lattery (even tho his pictures were lost, see below) for some of the finest game-picture-taking to date!
We're all winners! Or, to put it another way, we're all losers! For the second time in four games (the last time was Fall of 1999), we had a draw. Kudos to Shannon, who was the only person who actually predicted the draw Friday night. Rather than listening to me ramble on, let's hear from the two generalissimos:
Sauron:
"Sauron wishes to convey his the highest congratulations on a game played extremely well. Though officially a tie,
everyone on the Good Team deserves a win for the sheer physical effort, togetherness, and planning
displayed throughout the entire game. I really think they did an incredible job and deserve special mention."
Gandalf:
"The whole good army really came through and showed what can happen when everybody works together.
Spirits
were high and people just did what needed to be done. I don't think that there were too many good people by
the end of the game that weren't exhausted by the efforts they put forth. My thanks to everyone on the good army for working so
hard. You made it a real pleasure for me to be Gandalf!"
I got an e-mail from Joe's friend Doug (who took a bunch of pictures at the game), letting me know that all of the pictures he took at the game were accidentally erased! What a major bummer, as I know he had some really good ones. Ah well, c'est la guerre! By the way, if you, my noble readers, happen to have any pictures that you'd like to share on the web site, by all means e-mail 'em to me, and I'll be happy to include 'em!
